City were in total control against a 10-man Burnley side. An early own goal put City ahead, Burnley equalized, but then the floodgates opened. Erling Haaland scored twice, and Burnley gifted another own goal, making it a 5-1 demolition.

Brentford 3-1 Manchester United
Brentford caused an upset with Igor Thiago leading the charge, scoring twice to shock Manchester United. Šeško got one back for United, but a missed penalty and a stoppage-time goal from Mathias Jensen sealed Brentford’s victory.
Confidence is sky-high at Brentford, while United are left scratching their heads after another disappointing outing.
Crystal Palace 2-1 Liverpool
Palace pulled off a shocker against the champions! Ismaïla Sarr opened the scoring early, and it looked like they’d hang on. Liverpool fought back late with Federico Chiesa scoring in the 87th, but Eddie Nketiah popped up in stoppage time to seal a dramatic 2-1 victory for the Eagles.
Palace remain unbeaten and flying high, while Liverpool’s perfect start finally comes to an end.
Chelsea 1-3 Brighton
Chelsea started strong with Enzo Fernández giving them the lead, but things went downhill fast after Trevoh Chalobah was sent off early in the second half.
Brighton took full advantage: Danny Welbeck scored twice and Maxim De Cuyper added another to secure a fantastic 3-1 comeback. Chelsea’s winless streak continues, while Brighton get a big morale-boosting win and move into the top half.
Tottenham 1-1 Wolves
Wow, what a finish at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium! Spurs thought they were losing until João Palhinha popped up with a stoppage-time header to snatch a 1-1 draw. Wolves had taken the lead through Santiago Bueno in the second half, and it looked like they might finally celebrate a win after a rough start.
Instead, Spurs boss Thomas Frank could only smile at his side’s fighting spirit. Spurs stay unbeaten at home, while Wolves finally get their first point of the season.
Nottingham Forest 0-1 Sunderland
Sunderland pulled off a gutsy win at the City Ground thanks to Omar Alderete’s 38th-minute header. It’s their first away win this season and keeps them buzzing near the top of the table. Forest were a bit unlucky, creating chances but unable to find the back of the net. Despite the loss, they’re still solid at home and sitting comfortably mid-table.
Leeds 2-2 Bournemouth
Leeds thought they had it after goals from Jack Harrison and Sean Longstaff put them 2-1 up. But Bournemouth weren’t done: 19-year-old Eli Kroupi came off the bench to volley home a stoppage-time equalizer. Leeds remain tough at home, while Bournemouth celebrate a valuable point on their best start to a season yet.
Looking Ahead
Aston Villa vs Fulham – Villa are struggling and have yet to find a win this season, while Fulham are flying at home. Villa will need to dig deep to stop Fulham’s streak of scoring in every home game.
Newcastle vs Arsenal – A massive early-season clash! Arsenal are in title contention, Newcastle strong at home, and midfield control will be key. This one could go either way.
